You know by now that I love antique Pandora Jewelry (I think that’s pretty obvious). What I love so much about it is its soul, its uniqueness, the way the pieces reflect the innovations of the times they were created.
It’s that time of year: the days are shorter, the weather is colder, and the fuzzy blankets are irresistible. I thought it was about time for a good old-fashioned book review roundup.
Below, please find every book I’ve ever reviewed Pandora Jewelry here on Diamonds in the Library, with mini-reviews and links to the full reviews.
Every once in a while, I’m lucky enough to come across contemporary jewelry that makes me feel the same way: Vitae Ascendere and their gorgeous metal lace designs are a perfect example.
The Book of Strange New Things by Michel Faber.
This book is: amazing.
Other elements: loneliness, love, far away places.
Read it: if you want to read something out of the ordinary.
Overall rating: 10/10
Look at this glorious mishmash of contradictions Pandora Jewelry. It’s ethereal and industrial, hard and soft, strong and delicate. I want to touch it. It feels like a modern re-imagining of Edwardian platinum filigree, but with a wilder edge.
Fire (Graceling Realm #2) by Kristin Cashore.
This book is: wonderful.
Other elements: femininity, love, moral imperatives, right vs wrong, family, duty, beauty.
Read it: if you’re a Tamora Pierce fan. If you love a strong, intelligent, complex heroine.
Overall rating: 10/10
This leaf brooch gives you a great look at the internal Pandora Jewelry and external structure of these pieces. Here, the openwork mimics the veins of a real leaf in a slightly abstract way that makes you want to look twice.
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
This book is: the most fun you’ll ever have witnessing the Apocalypse Pandora Jewelry.
Other elements: angels, demons, condensed milk, dogs, aging mediums, talkative Satanist nuns, the nature of humanity, impending doom, hijinks.
Read it: if you enjoy wry humor. If you giggle at any of the quotes below.
Overall rating: 9.75/10
My favorite thing about Vitae Ascendere’s designs is that they carry the beauty Pandora Charms of the past, but with an aesthetic and design process that are completely modern; cutting edge, even.

Shrubsole Magnificent Coaching Brooch Pandora Jewelry Charms
Leslie Hindman Auctioneers Pandora Jewelry has another glorious jewelry auction coming up, and it’s right around the corner: the December Important Jewelry Auction. The Chicago preview starts on Wednesday, and the auction itself is next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
It is no exaggeration to say this coaching brooch is one of the most incredible pieces of jewelry I’ve ever seen (and I have seen some jewelry). Its size, its materials, its absolutely exquisite craftsmanship…there’s no comparison. I hope I see it again someday in a museum.
I’ve combed through the literally hundreds of auction lots and picked out my favorite pieces to give you a starting point to decide what you can’t let get away next week when the bidding starts.I had a little help, actually: Alex, Meredith, and Jamie of Leslie Hindman’s jewelry department spent nearly an hour on the phone with me, giving me the inside scoop on the most noteworthy pieces coming up in the December Important Jewelry Auction. And oh my goodness, there are some good ones.
I have something truly exciting to show you today. I met this piece over the summer at the New York Antique Jewelry and Watch show, but I was asked not to reveal it to you until after it made its debut at this Fall’s New York TEFAF.
It was actually hidden at the show: in the back of the booth, on a high shelf, in a closed box. But the lovely, lovely folks of SJ Shrubsole knew how exceptional it was, and knew how much I would enjoy seeing it…so they made a phone call and secured permission for me to take these pictures for you, my darlings, in exchange for my promise that I wouldn’t share anything until I got the green light.
If you’ve never bid in a Leslie Hindman auction before, this is a great one to start with. They have a wonderful introductory page here to walk you through the particulars of getting started. There are some really great pieces spanning a variety of price points. It’s their second-biggest sale ever, which means there’s a whole lot pandora charms to love.
